HCG Days -1 Through 4

Okay, so I have tried everything, from lets see..exercising 1-3 hours a day and practically starving myself to the P90x program, turbo jam, and assistance from personal trainers, but yep..nothing seems to work. It may take, oh let's say 3 months to lose 10 lbs (and gain some muscle), but less than 2 weeks to put it back on! (Bummer!) So I have done a ton of research (I would say at least over 100 hours) on this new HCG thing and spoke to several people and a doctor, and well.. I am willing to give it a try. Now I know this whole starvation mode thing may be true for some people, but I think I should know the difference, considering I have tried this myself. In all, if it doesn't work then at least I am training my body to eat healthy foods and eliminating all that nonprocessed crap.. I just want to look good for my birthday in 5 weeks! :) Okay so realistic, I know..I would love to be 140 by my birthday.. back to the old high school weight.. I would be happy at 144/145, though, fingers crossed! :)

Anywhoo, if any of you are interested, just look up the protocol for HCG which Dr. Simeones has called "Pounds and Inches." (okay so here is a general outline:)

1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird. 2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage. 3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. 4. An apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.

**Now, I am not going to start this blog to praise HCG, because for what it's worth I am only on day 5 and am unsure of my overall feeling..We will see at day 42! My current mood, though, (in case you are wondering) is SUPER STOKED! Ill tell you why..

Day -1 (This is just because I started "loading" phase, which means putting all the crap in your mouth that is high in fat that you can find in order to prepare the body for the low calorie diet in the upcoming 5 weeks..) Okay so weight was 153 at this point

Day 0- 155 ack! So I gained 2 lbs..impossible! well, not really. For me, all that starchy food really adds up..plus some is water weight

Day 1- The gorge! Okay so I went out to eat today and enjoyed myself! Lots of peanut butter and some chocolate as well, yummy! I felt guilty, but I tried to load up because the more you do, the faster it comes off! Okay so still 155 at this point.

Day 2- The 2nd day of gorging! So I am up 3 lbs yack! 158! Tear.. oh well lets see if this comes off

Day 3- Surprisingly my morning weight was uhm 157? I lost a lb from gorge day? Odd isn't it..
So today for breakfast I had lots of water. For lunch, cabbage and some shrimp (which were seasoned and steamed in lemon juice yummy).. For snack, an apple during school. Then for dinner, steak wrapped in lettuce yummy! Added some stevia and apple cider vinegar to my spring water and it tasted oh so yummy! Also had a piece of celery, 2 apple slices and some more cabbage in between. I didn't eat my orange so I figured a little more wouldnt help.. Went to gym for Zumba (but took it easy and just had fun seeing as cardio apparently hurts our weight loss) then came home showered, and off to the padres! Had a little bit of chocolate, peanut butter, and macaroni salad! AGGGG! And some diet green tea! Shoot! I was so nervous I would gain that I didnt sleep well and slept in til 11:15 am! But to my surprise...

Day 4: Weight 153.5! Woohoo! This is almost back to my negative day weight haha (And this is before I went to the bathroom, if you are following...haha) I am a happy camper. Phew! No more bad late night adventures for me! Just ate an apple and had some coffee and water...Will check in later!
